This course is a combination of lectures on the one hand and an implementation project on the other. In the lectures, you will learn to understand the foundations of human information processing, accessibility, and search engine optimisation in order to achieve the ability to design target-group specific web applications that respect the context of use as well as economical, technical, ethical, and legal restrictions. The implementation project gives you the opportunity to apply this knowledge to a case.
The students will be able to design web interfaces considering usability, user experience, accessibility, and search engine optimization as well as to implement web interfaces using content management systems (e. g. WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal) and web technologies (e.g. HTML5, Java Script, AJAX, PHP).
